Brothers in Arms Firing onto Wii, DS Wii to receive upgraded compilation of previous games. 04/04/2007 Prepare for more World War II combat; Ubisoft and Gearbox Software have announced the Brothers in Arms series is coming to Wii and Nintendo DS this year. Brothers in Arms: Double Time is a compilation of the previous games with new AI, visuals and Wii controls, while Brothers in Arms DS appears original and designed around the touch screen. Double Time will feature a total of 31 different levels, as players battle through the Normandy invasion. In addition to moving, aiming and shooting with the remote and nunchuck, Gearbox says gestures will be used to issue orders to your team. Shooters have experienced mixed results on the DS so far -- this one appears to be countering previous issues with a third person view -- but Gearbox seems willing to try again across 16 missions that cover Normandy, North Africa and Ardennes. Complex maneuvers, such as cover, will apparently be handled automatically by the game. There will be multiplayer in both games, but the press release doesn't mention Wi-Fi support for either.
